She was Karen Walker, a character on the NBC series Will & Grace from 1998-2006 as well as 2017-2021. As a result of her performance on the show, she's been awarded 8 Primetime Emmy Award nods in Outstanding Female Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. She was also nominated in a variety of areas for her performances, which included her nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Awards seven times for Outstanding acting by a woman in the field of a Comedy Series. Her first appearance was in a commercial for McDonald's that also starred John Goodman. Mullally began her acting career on the series that debuted in 1986, The Ellen Burstyn Show. Her guest appearances include the shows Seinfeld, Frasier and Wings Ned & Stacey Mad About You Caroline in The City 3rd Rock from the Sun and, of course, Just Shoot Me! She played the lead character in episode five of season 5 of Murder She Wrote.
