Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri was an Indian actress who achieved fame for her role in the films Hum Aapke Haiin Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 80s when she started her acting career. She became popular with the role of Tezaab in which she appeared with an established actor Anil Kapooor. She next appeared in the film Dil In which she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she was able to learn dance from a very young age. While still a teenager she attempted acting, but most films she attempted to make were unsuccessful. In the end, she was successful with Indian film and climbed to the very top. Following her marriage was over, she took a few months away from performing before returning. She played a major role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film that explores the struggles of women in India. Dixit was awarded 8 Filmfare Awards out of the fifteen nominations she received. Padma Shri - the fourth highest civilian honor in India awarded to Dixit. In addition, she has been recognized by the social sector.
