Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco singer and pop artist. As a teenager she was involved both in traditional and popular music. Her musical interests have expanded to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as sweet and sharp, but still with the bite of older singers. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success following her debut album Los Angeles was released in 2017. This album won it the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. The hit single La Fama featuring the Weeknd was released in 2021. It was her third studio album. Motomami offered songwriting collaborations with a variety of producers and artists including Cory Henry and James Blake. This set was released the month of March 2022, following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the track Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia became the first Spanish solo performer to be a part of the show on Saturday Night Live. Motomami was the only woman in the history of music to be a winner of the Latin Album of the Year twice, in addition to three Latin Grammy Awards.
